playful parklet

Inspired by their origins in tactical urbanism and responding to the reshaping of cities through the impact of the pandemic we have developed a playful parklet. It is designed as a platform that explores this new form of public space for creative workshops, live music, and interactive installation and a nomadic site for Melbourne’s urban play community connecting music, games and fashion with public space.

The parklet includes a raised stage area, flags and two areas for seating. Additional furniture, props and signage are also available. On Saxon Street it will be activated in collaboration with Siteworks and the Brunswick Design District from March 19 - April 13.

Come and play with the space! Apply to be part of the public program activating Saxon Street across March-April via this form: Brunswick EOI.
